In addition to the Greater Jefferson Fund and various scholarships, the Jefferson Community Foundation welcomes organizations, families or individuals who wish to establish a special project or interest fund. These allow for the gift of funds directly to a specific educational, cultural or charitable purpose.
The following is a partial list of funds that have been established within the Foundation:
Most are donor-advised funds where donors can make recommendations to the Foundation Board on community causes or projects they would like to support. The donor can make additional tax-deductible donations or change it to an Unrestricted Fund. An Unrestricted Fund is similar to the Greater Jefferson Fund in purpose, but allows the name of the donor to be associated with the grants awarded.
