The Second Chance Scholarship is offered by members of the Fort Atkinson Branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) to provide a local scholarship to women who enroll at a vocational/technical college or an accredited university after having been out of formal education for at least one year. Applicants may reapply in subsequent years if pursuing the same program.

Eligibility

Eligible students are women who:

• Are either a graduate of Jefferson High School, have a current Jefferson County

mailing address or are currently employed in Jefferson County.

• Are planning to enroll in either a program at a vocational/technical college or

an undergraduate or graduate program at an accredited college or university after having been out of formal education for at least one year.

• Have financial need or family circumstances requiring assistance.
